Olivia Cathcart is an Atlanta-based writer and comedian. Initially starting her comedy career in Tuscaloosa while attending The University of Alabama (earning a BA in Film/TV production), she relocated to her hometown of Atlanta in 2013 where she regularly performs at venues across the Southeast as well as comedy and music festivals across the greater USA. Her comedy has often been described as smart and clever by many and was once told, “I thought you’d be terrible, but that shit was funny” by one guy who doesn’t know how to give a compliment. He’s dead now (cholesterol).

Her comedy career and education lead to work in entertainment journalism, most notably working as the assistant comedy editor for Paste Magazine. She has also written features, critical reviews, and promos for Creative Loafing Atlanta and The Laugh Button. As a copywriter, she’s led marketing and rebranding efforts, content and process creation, UX/UI writing, B2B & B2C content, commercial scriptwriting, and business consulting across various industries including media, retail, manufacturing, IT, telecommunications, and fintech.

She also bats a respectable .375 in wiffleball.
